New confidence ideas to try February 14, 2007 |
Hi I got a great email yesterday from a friend telling me about a church in Kansas City that is challenging its members to go 21 days without complaining, criticizing or gossiping. Wow, 21 days without a single complaint. Do you think you could do it? I think it would tough but what an eye opening experience it would be. The way it works is that each member is given a purple bracelet to wear. If they slip and complain, gossip or criticize then they have to switch their bracelet to their other wrist and the 21 days start again. So far, only 20 of their 250 members have made it. They believe that it takes people between 3 to 6 months in order to be able to complete this challenge. Doesn’t that say a lot about our society? Anyway, I think it’s a fabulous idea and apparently others do too as over 300,000 people from all over the world have also accepted the complaint free challenge. If you want to try it out, you can order your own purple bracelet from www.AComplaintFreeWorld.org.
